Chapter One - Enlightenment

Chapter One-Enlightenment     04-03-16

This all encompassing infinite Field Of Energy, Universe, and Planet, we call home, evolved life and a human species with a brain that obviously knows no positive or negative boundaries. The potential of this brain can ascend to the highest level of enlightenment and descend to the darkest depths of depravity instantaneously and intermittently.  History clearly shows humankind has alternated back and forth between these two extremes. Humankind has taken a tremendous leap since the emergence of primitive tribes. Today, humans cling too remnants of primitive cultures and startling advances in science. Advances in science and enlightenment provide a new understanding of this planet and universe-while many continue to cling to primitive concepts There is irony in the fact that the demise of this planet and existing life is insignificant in this infinite evolving energy field that creates and evolves myriads of universes-galaxies-planets, and life forms that include humans with brains. The question driving world societies is whether or not humankind can limit their extreme destruction of the environment and one another. The answer is absolutely yes, provided the extreme dark side of the human brain can be limited. That's the challenge facing humankind. Overtime, advancing human enlightenment may allow the worship of tribal Gods to transition to reverence for that mysterious force that drives this infinite evolving energy field that encompasses universes, galaxies, and matter beyond all categories of human thought. The potential of this brain we have inherited has yet to grasped.

Enlightenment occurs as a function of reason, experience, and education. Other factors include cultures, religions, and degrees of freedom. Caution: Do not underestimate the ingenuity of primitive tribes through the rise of civilization. Today, our most talented specialists are realizing that primitive humans attained skills that astonish and puzzle this high tech world. For instance, our oldest global cathedrals design and fabrication is traceable to historic texts that reference architectural rules that must still be adhered too.

We live in a primitive tribal environment that embraces cruelty, conflict and genocide to dominate those of differing doctrines. As a child I worshiped, with my family, in one room country churches attended by local farmers and preachers. I loved and participated in worshiping and singing. Even today, I still revere and respect those  memories. Even then, I found it weird that they believed hell was created and imposed by this God they worshiped. Reason, still tells me God did not create the dark side of human nature. Today, this cultural and primitive religious environment drives a need to respect this mysterious creator of this infinite field of energy that encompasses all universes. Reason tells me humankind recognizes extreme destructive behavior and understands how to limit it- if we so desire. I was aware of  World Ware II, an existing depression, and a rural farm environment. Then, I stepped into an environment of endless wars and a career in aerospace-nuclear, combined with missiles and advances in space exploration. My sense of responsibility became the welfare of this planet and all fellow human beings. The future requires an advanced form of governing and an understanding of how a once primitive brain functions and evolves in this modern day technological world. As humankind continues to evolve we must recognize that commonality. Gradual enlightenment will allow all humans to realize that we have become a one planet family. This family can commit to a form of government and a quality of life that makes all equal and prepared to live in peace without extreme destructive behavior. Peace of mind and tranquility may come to humankind as they realize that the creator of this infinite field of energy expects humankind to be caretakers of his planet and one another. Beyond that the future will be determined by the whims of this infinite field of energy.

This human brain thrusts humans on a path of science that envisions a level of heightened enlightenment. Science and technology is frighteningly close to crossing boundaries that enable humans to envision new universal concepts that illuminate, enlighten, and limit extreme self-destructive behavior. The goal is to moderate human behavior and sustain quality of life.

The science world declares the human brain is the singular crowning achievement of this infinite energy field.  Medical science studies are establishing processes that allow the brain to  be kept alive, archived, and used productively as a resource for future generations and space travelers. Science sees no boundaries that can't be breached with a backlog of preserved brains with unlimited potential. The exploration and development of space can be advanced as science develops advanced processes that can overcome the difficulty of limited energy, time, and human fragility. Mapping, preserving, and shaping the brain for space travel is on the horizon. The ability to preserve human brains for human drones, long distance space travel and settlements, may soon be a reality. The suitability of such a plan is questionable. Humankind must resolve this and many other critical challenges before that happens. That will take an aroused society assuming responsibility for themselves and the future of their children.

World citizens, welcome to the quest for Enlightenment. Our challenge is to identify and follow a path that leads to the enlightenment of a new generation. Our State of the World is the ultimate example of how nations have failed as caretakers of our planets environment and inhabitants.
The state of world nations demonstrates the extreme nature of an animal species we named Homo sapient-known as humans. Humans have exceeded the boundaries of depravity-science-art-communication-and the universe. Humans fail to live in harmony with all life and the natural environment-unlike other species we soil the environment. Self-gratification and worship of imagined gods are the motivating forces. Seeking and attaining enlightenment is the hope for the future. Enlightenment lies in human's ability to see beyond this mysterious and infinite field of energy field that sparked the creation of  all solar systems and beyond. Beyond these solar systems lies the unknowable God we seek. Looking back from beyond we visualize the significance of humans on a distant planet-a planet that fades as it's sun's energy dissapates and life ceases to exist-planet matter changing form.
A constitutional republic form of government requires an enlightened electorate capable of establishing a Constitution and having the discipline to hold both leaders and themselves accountable. The United States lacks both. The Constitution we thought we had was and still is an illusion.  The future must bring a higher degree of education and enlightenment-an enlightenment that inspires reclaiming constitutional government for the United States and subsequently all nations.
Humans can define themselves by their ability to meet the following challenges: First, being guardians of their environment. Second, providing for the physical and spiritual welfare of their families. Third, being caretakers of their world brothers and sisters. Forth, governing for the common welfare of all world citizens by establishing checks and balances that prevent harmful extremism. Fifth, living in harmony with their physical and spiritual environment.
Sixth, accepting the brief gift of life allowed by a mysterious universal force composed of energy changing form.
ENLIGHTENMENT REQUIRES AN UNDERSTANDING OF PARTS ONE THROUGH FOURTEEN:

PART ONE-CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE

PART TWO: EVOLUTION OF PLANET

PART THREE: EVOLUTION OF LIFE FORMS

PART FOUR: EVOLUTION OF THE HUMAN MIND

PART FIVE: TRIBAL GODS

PART SIX: THE AGE OF REASON

PART SEVEN: THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT

PART EIGHT: INSTITUTIONAL GODS

PART NINE: GOD VERSUS SCIENCE

PART TEN: THE FUTURE

PART ELEVEN: GLOBLA ALLIANCES

PART TWELVE: DAVOS 2016

PART THIRTEEN: BLENDING OF CULTURES-RACES-RELIGION

PART FORTEEN: GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS

AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT:

Future generations must be taught the value of the Constitution and those ageless principles designed to guide humans through life. Our generation lost sight of them and breached their boundaries. Our generation promoted patriotism, flag raising, and national holidays to celebrate past accomplishments even as we drifted rudderless into dysfunction, partisan politics, and fiscal despair. Future generations must recognize these fault lines and be prepared to avoid them. The best Constitution and Christian principles have little value when breached and a nation is divided into failed and destructive partisan camps. A dysfunctional and fiscally challenged nation without a recognizable Constitution and basic principles requires a new and enlightened generation.

The spark that created the universe(s) also sparked the evolution of Enlightenment. With the evolution of planet earth and life enlightenment began as humans asked why. This WHY question has never been fully answered. However, as humans evolved enlightenment grew slowly as centuries passed and humans emerged from their primitive stage.

If world citizens are serious about achieving freedom, prosperity, and peace they must be willing to unite and work together to be caretakers of the environment and all life. These are achievable goals provided the human race has achieved a level of enlightenment that limits the dark side of human nature. Given the dark state of the world, there is significant evidence that humans can constructively work together for the common welfare.  We are still immersed in a struggle between the dark and light nature of humankind. The light side is still struggling  to contain the dark side. The light side is composed of those few that struggle to contain the dark side. The silent majority remains disengaged.

The absence of enlightenment in governing and religion is appalling. The complexity of the human species, Homo sapient, exceeds all light and dark boundaries. The light side of humans exceeds all creative boundaries in the fields of macro and micro science, imagination, creativity, and organization skills. Exploration, art, dance, and sports challenges are being met and exceeded. The dark side of humans lack the enlightenment necessary to remain within governing and religious boundaries that prevent the human race from destructing itself. Boundaries define the limits that must be observed if governing and religious principles are the foundation that preserves the social integrity of the human race. The State of the world and the United States reflects that breaking governing and religious dark boundaries has reached a critical stage. Governing and religious institutions depend on schools, colleges, and universities providing enlightened teachers, citizens, and leaders. Obviously, the lack of enlightenment in governing and religious institutions is the challenge. To meet this challenge world citizens must understand the importance of becoming enlightened.

Choosing Enlightened Leadership:

Irresponsible citizens choose irresponsible leaders. If true, our challenge is to convince citizens and leaders to take responsibility for the welfare of their government. First, both citizens and leaders must have a level of enlightenment that allows acting responsibly. The first step is to define and understand existing resources and significance of the task. Our resources are: First, significant knowledge of the physical laws that control the environment, planet, and universe. Second, past experience gained, good and bad, since the emergence of humankind. Third, the collective insight and wisdom of past and present valued leaders from all races, cultures, and nationalities. Forth, the birth of a Constitution designed by free world wise Founding Fathers on a virgin continent. The next challenge is to use these resources to define how further enlightenment of world citizens and leaders can be achieved.

The task of enlightening world citizens and leaders begins by understanding that the behavior of humans is exceptional, unpredictable, erratic, and extreme. Human nature ranges from dark to light and light to dark-some times instantanious.  Humans are a frightening singularity of nature-born out of evolution. The real challenge is to dampen the dark side and enhance the light side of human nature. Governing requires using mandatory and inforcible checks and balances to control extreme human behavior. There may be no other way.  World society has yet to attain the discipline required to accomplish this task. That's why enlightenment has to be the goal. It's impossible for even the most enlightened leaders to lead human masses that have no clear understanding of who's leading, why, or where they are being led. The challenge then becomes finding a way to increase the enlightenment of both citizens and leaders. Next, world citizens and leaders must thoughtfully agree on what their expectations are for the future and how those expectations will be met. Only, then do world citizens and leaders have a chance to live free, productive, and peaceful lives for the remaining time allowed by an environment that is dependent on the whims of a changing field of universal energy. These are the universal boundaries we exist in.

We can begin by agreeing that enlightened citizens and leaders must establish forms of government that establishes checks and balances that prevent extreme behavior from threatening the common welfare. This simple rule applies to each and every nation and any alliance of nations. If we had a powerful alliance of nations today they would never tolerate a nation as threatening as North Korea or any other nation that threatened the welfare of a strong alliance of nations composed of enlightened citizens and leaders. The fact is, the world of nations has no nation that meets these qualifications. The United States Founding Fathers of thirteen colonies, on a virgin continent, established and ratified a Constitution that, if followed, had the potential to evolve a high degree of enlightened citizens and leaders. It never happened. The reasons for failure are evident. United States self-gratification exceeded all Constitution, Christian, and secular expectations. Any hope for success is growing dim. Human DNA may yet evolve a level of enlightenment that allows all citizens and leaders to meet their expectations.

Past Versus the Future:

There is overwhelming evidence that humans cling to political, religious, and cultural differences that assure world conflict. Clinging to old world differences is not productive. Divisive political parties, cultural differences, and religious doctrines and rituals that divide world citizens is not a sustainable path. The twenty first century requires a path that enlightens, unifies, and enables world citizens to be responsible caretakers of the environment and humankind. This path requires a harmonious relationship that bond humans to the environment and and all forms of life.

Humans recognize the presence of a mysterious energy permeating the universe and all life. The beauty of the universe brings ‘Aha’ moments to all who pause and recognize the wonders that surround them. The creation of this mysterious energy remains a mystery beyond human understanding. There is an innate need to cling to metaphors that symbolize the presence of an unseen creator. However, humans must be guardians of life and the environment. Humankind has every innate sense and skill necessary to meet all self -imposed expectations. This challenge requires enlightened world citizens that understand the state of the world and have knowledge of those processes required to sustain unified nations and end unnecessary conflict. This leads us to the meaning of enlightenment and how we become enlightened.

The Enlightenment of United States and world citizens is necessary for understanding the history of enlightenment as it spread across the world. The importance of enlightenment began in the early development of Chinese, Iranian, Indian, Islamic, Jewish, and Christian cultures. The history of all nations and cultures reflects the growth of enlightenment. However, enlightenment regresses as civilizations peak. These peaks are followed by increased world conflict. The settlement of thirteen independent colonies on a virgin North American continent set the stage for an advanced period of enlightenment. For thirteen independent colonies on a virgin continent, old world obstacles, bonds, and boundaries ceased and they grasped the opportunity to throw off all past precedents, shackles. They built a nation where freedom, prosperity, and peace was the law of the land. Founding Fathers knowledgeable of old world fault lines broke the old mold of medieval thinking and created a unified nation and a constitutional republic form of government destined to be a model for all world nations.

Tragically, human history tends to repeat itself. As the United States peaked it also threw off enlightenment and with it went compliance with the Constitution and related principles. Checks and balances were ignored. Citizens addicted to following the dictates of self-serving partisan political parties, partisan religious institutions, and biased corporate media delegated their citizen and parental responsibilities in exchange for self-gratification and mindless and socially unproductive activities. The lure of mindless television, computer, and technological fads absorb excess attention and results in failure to balance technology with the principles of healthy and stable families, the Constitution, and related principles. As a result citizens became less and less enlightened and became an electorate incapable of selecting and electing responsible leaders and holding them accountable. Now, the only remedy is for United States Citizens and their children to begin the process of becoming enlightened. This will take some time and perhaps a generation or two if we start now.

Becoming enlightened is a continuing process. The Internet gives this definition: “ ‘The Age of Enlightenment’ is a noun used to describe a time in Western Philosophy and cultural life in which reason was advocated as the primary source and legitimacy for authority”. The term Enlightenment, when used in this context, requires a capital E and is traceable to early Western, Eastern, and Religious philosophy. It is argued that the signatories of the American Declaration of Independence, the United States Bill of Rights, the French Declaration of the Rights of Man, and the Polish-Lithuanian Constitution of May 3, 1791 were motivated by enlightenment principles. Reading, reading, and more reading of books of knowledge is a process that brings enlightenment that enables one to achieve clarity and depth of understanding of one’s nature, destiny, and purpose in life.

Buddha quotes: “To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.”

United States Founding Fathers realized they had created a constitutional republic form of government. They knew it was a miracle made possible by enlightened men on a virgin continent for a new breed of citizens that required freedom, prosperity, and peace. The Founding Fathers knew this Constitution would spread to world nations. They also feared that the effort to comply with Constitution requirements and its related principles would be a greater price then United States Citizens would be willing to pay. We now know they were right. The quality of citizens and elected leaders degraded and the nation plunged into self-gratification, partisan politics, and debt. The United States arrogantly chooses to reform rogue nations by threats, force, and occupation rather then by example. Thus we chose to abandon being a beacon of light guided by constitutional law and proven ageless principles. The nation meant to be a beacon of light to all nations is slowly burning out. Can this cinder of a once great and model nation ignite an age of Enlightenment and once again become a beacon of Light? This book is about ways to meet this challenge.

Today, political protesters give praise to our Founding Fathers even as they reject every principle. Founding Fathers met face to face and hammered out the Constitution. These outstanding men left records that reflect their concerns and reasoning. They faced incredible danger and death if they failed. They faced hardship and endured major illnesses as they traveled by horseback from their homes to their meeting places. Today, our representatives face no such adversity. However, it is painful to watch the anguish and anxiety our representatives experience as they struggle to agree on codes of ethics for their parties. It is a pitiful sight no person should have to experience.

The 13 colonies overcame their differences for the common good and united around a miracle called the Constitution. Today, our political parties break in half and squabble away the nations human and natural resources as our nation tears apart the very fabric of the Constitution. Now, we face the challenge of enlightening our children so they can restore the Constitution. Where will the government, education, and religious leaders come from? Only enlightened and willing citizens can answer this question. I think we are bound to the hope that our children will embrace enlightenment and accomplish what our generation failed to do. I think Mitt Romney is right when he stated in his latest book, No Apology: “Today we find ourselves at a very different moment in history, and I fear that if we remain on our current track, history will come to know us as this nation's worst generation--- because we will force our children and their children to bear the brunt of our recklessness and the willful neglect of the problems we created.”

United States and world leaders accept citizens just as they are. Enlightening nations citizens is time consuming and expensive. Why waste money and time enlightening consumers and laborers that are willing to support an economy and a marketplace with little or no fiscal restraint. A successful capitalist system requires fiscal responsibility by corporations and citizens. A reasonable balance optimizes and sustains all parties far into the future. Government, education, and religious leaders seeking near term goals see little or no benefit in requiring enlightened citizens capable of independent thinking and reasoning. However, the fact remains that the twenty first century demands that citizens enlighten themselves and take the initiative to unify and become actively engaged with government, education, and religious leaders. Citizens must demand, establish, and implement policies and goals that lead future youth to continuous enlightenment. The benefits from enlightenment are:

Humans must realize they are animals, created through evolution, with innate senses that include a dark nature that makes them a threat to the planet, its environment, and each other. This threat can only be countered by a constitutional republic form of government with checks and balances that guard against extreme behavior.

Recognizing the Universe and Life:

It’s a fact. A constitutional republic form of government is not possible without enlightened leaders and citizens. Without a significant number of enlightened and active leaders and citizens a nation is dysfunctional and destined to fail. Enlightenment is a vision and goal that requires our total attention if we are to travel a path that leads to meeting self imposed expectations. This is a path that requires humankind to establish checks and balances that shield us from the dark side of human nature. Becoming enlightened is the process of recognizing, accepting, and acting on the following principles and constitutional checks and balances derived by past experience:

Recognizing that the origin and meaning of this mysterious Universe continues to be beyond all categories of human thought.

Understanding that this universe is composed of fleeting forms of energy.

The universe is an infinite ball of energy changing form. Changes in form are driven by turbulence within the field of energy. Changes in form spawn forms of complex life. Life evolves as energy fields create an environment for their survival. This process of evolution evolved Homo sapient. The existence of Homo sapient is dependent on changing energy fields over time. Space and time is pertinent to humans only. Forces controlling this mysterious energy must be left to the imagination. The tenure of humans in the universe is fleeting.

Know that humankind is a singularity. A species of animal, Homo sapient, endowed with exceptional abilities that include reasoning, imagination, and awareness of mortality.

Recognizing that human nature has dark and light extremes that drive extreme deviate behavior. This behavior must be controlled by a constitutional republic form of government containing checks and balances that hold people in the center of darkness and light extremes.

Realize that the degradation of the environment and life forms of planet earth began with the evolution of Homo sapient. Deviant behavior continues to accelerate as humankind accepts and pursues divisiveness in politics, religion, cultures, and race. No other animal can begin to approach the phenomenal wonders of human creation and also the degree of depravity practiced by humans. Realize that the growth of human depravity spans the planet and reaches deep into all segments and levels of society. None are spared.

Citizen rights require accepting and maintaining citizen responsibilities.

Recognize the rapture of living displayed throughout the animal kingdom. Their experience of being alive resonates on a physical plane that is easily observed. Humankind should be so enlightened that they also experience the meaning and rapture of being alive.

Enlightenment is an extended form of the evolutionary process and necessary to prepare and equip humans to live together free from conflict while meeting all expectations.

Enlightenment permits us to admit deviant behavior that is endemic to human nature and set in place those processes that block such behavior.

The pursuit of studies that bring forth the wisdom of Founding Fathers of all nationalities including Babylonian, Indian, Iranian, Chinese, Korean, and all others bring enlightenment.

Enlightenment will not come without the presence of joy brought by exuberance, love of life, and an innate ability to find those resources within us to overcome irrational actions that bring conflict.

Enlightenment is illuminated when humankind realizes that technology cannot be allowed to infringe on the natural development of those instincts that keep humankind in harmony with the environment and one another.

Enlightenment and science complement each other. Enlightenment advances science and at the same time establishes technology boundaries that assure enlightened, principled, and stable families and civilizations.

Blind faith in the absence of reason extinguishes enlightenment. Reasoning is one primary gift that separates Homo sapient from the animal species. Blind faith absent reason is the primary tool used by political, education, and religious institutions to maximize power, wealth, and influence. It is a highly successful tool because it allows world citizens to escape responsibility for their life in action.

Citizen lack of enlightenment allows politicians and special interests to manipulate the strings that control what you see, hear, think, or do.

The path to enlightenment is an opportunity for a spiritual awakening that brings peace of mind, purpose, direction, and union with fellow beings striving for a way of life free from continuous conflict. However, being enlightened does not guarantee being a responsible leader, family man, or citizen. Many nations have enlightened government, religious, and education leaders whose dark side creates conflict and chaos that devastate the nations policies, resources, and goals. The challenge is to build an enlightened electorate that can chose enlightened leaders based on performance, integrity, and trust. This requires a constitutional republic form of government with checks and balances that shields society from the dark side of human nature. United States Founding Fathers recognized the dark side of human nature and founded a Constitution that, if followed, protected society from itself and government from society.

Founding Fathers Legacy:

Our Founding Fathers life experiences and philosophical studies gave them a much broader knowledge of religion, government, politics, history, and economics than our current national leaders and electorate. Their knowledge of Greek, Roman, Anglo-Saxon, European, and English history was extensive. They had first hand knowledge of forms of governments and their deficiencies. They recognized the dark nature of humans and weaved checks and balances into the Constitution to guard citizens from government, religious, and special interest leaders. This knowledge made them well suited for developing a Constitution that offered peace, prosperity, and freedom for all world nations. The United States was to be that beacon of light for nations seeking to be guardians of all life and the environment.

The Founding Fathers feared that the branches of government would usurp power from one another. They felt that corrupt leaders would evade Constitution checks and balances and eventually abuse requirements for separation of powers. Now, we know that to be a fact. The Founding Fathers advised the following checks and balances to preserve the Constitution and its related principles:

The Founding Fathers left a legacy of wisdom in letters and Federalist Papers written to gain support for Constitution ratification. As you can see by their following quotes and comments we failed to heed their advice and now our nations future is threatened.

egislators….If the legislative body are corrupt, you will soon have bad men for counselors, corrupt judges, unqualified justices, and officers in every department who will dishonor their stations"

United States citizens now realize that their nation has become dysfunctional and ungovernable. Without enlightened leaders and citizens the nation faces overwhelming challenges that require transitioning to a twenty first century constitutional republic form of government with the appropriate checks and balances. It’s critical we understand the following obstacles and the root causes of our nations State of the Union: United States Constitution requires an enlightened electorate. An electorate that stands by as partisan political leaders hand citizens a dysfunctional debt ridden government requires a degree of enlightenment. It is time to provide citizens the means by which they can be an integral part of government functions and hold government accountable for their legislation and behavior.

United States Constitution requires enlightened leaders chosen by an enlightened electorate.

Enlightened electorate and leaders do not exist and therefore we have a dysfunctional United States:

The lack of enlightened and unified government leaders and citizens has allowed unified special interests (political parties, educators, and business and religious corporations) to divide the nation and take control of the nations Constitution, principles, legislature, policies, goals, fiscal responsibilities, and leadership.

The Constitution is based on all power resting with the electorate. That premise has never been satisfied or can be without an enlightened electorate.

The primary responsibility for compliance to the Constitution rests with the executive, congressional, and Supreme Court. If they fail United States educators, religious institutions, and electorate are our last hope. All have failed to recognize that without enlightenment a Constitutional Republic form of government is impossible

This brings us to defining the root cause for the dismantling of a form of government known as the world’s greatest step toward establishing freedom, prosperity, and peace for all world citizens. The dark side of human nature is the root cause and is still in ascendance. This is the greatest obstacle we face and can only be defeated with enlightenment.

Science tells us the evolution of humankind began about 13.7 billion years ago with the Big Bang. The Big Bang resulted in the formation of the universe, galaxies, and planet earth. The evolution of planet earth brought life and a specie of animal known as Homo sapient. Homo sapient are a singularity of nature in that they have advanced capabilities and a volatile nature that ranges from the darkest deeds to the loftiest ideals. The evolution of Homo sapient evolved humans that retained their innate animal senses while gaining advanced senses that brought the ability to reason, imagine, and organize.

Enlightenment is the path to becoming whole and in harmony with ones inner being. This condition reflects radiance and behavior that reflects a person that has become transparent to transcendence. This is a condition all citizens strive for and rarely achieve. World citizens must strive to become enlightened. It is the path to the future. There is no other path. Ending conflict and chaos requires world citizens to take one more giant step to maturity and dominance over the dark side of human nature. World citizens must emerge from extremist beliefs.

“How is it possible,” Schopenhauer asks in his celebrated essay On the Foundation of Morality, “How is it possible that suffering that is neither my own nor of my concern should immediately affect me as though it were my own, and with such force that it moves me to action?….Schopenhauer's answer to his question is that this immediate reaction and response represents the breakthrough of a metaphysical realization that all are one and inseparable.

The discovery and development of the North American Continent set in motion a chain of events never imagined. People from many nations left despair and helplessness behind and came seeking new opportunity in a virgin land. These early pioneers left tribal conflict, tyranny, and servitude behind and became self sufficient and independent as they carved out a living in a new environment. The early pioneer thirst for freedom and independence took a giant leap. Leaders of the thirteen colonies declared their independence from England. For the first time in the history of man a Constitution was drafted, debated, revised endless times, and at last, approved and ratified by the thirteen colonies. This monumental feat was led by Founding Fathers that recognized both the dark and light side of human nature and knew that checks and balances were required to keep the dark side from prevailing. These checks and balances were designed into the Constitution.

The Federalist Papers were written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. The world wise and highly educated Founding Fathers were serious students, philosophers, and capable of debating and reaching agreement that all could support. Unlike today, these men chose statesmanship and the welfare of the colonies over partisan politics. These men were not perfect. They had many faults that had to be overcome. But, they had the wisdom, grit and the will to travel in terrible weather, poor health, and for years face and debate one another until agreement on legislation and principles were achieved. The Founders, face to face, engaged in exhaustive debates that seriously effected their health, wealth, and security. They founded a Constitution that had the potential, if followed, to lead, world nations to freedom, prosperity, and peace.

Unfortunately, having achieved economic and military superiority, the United states became arrogant and drifted away from the Constitution and it's principles. The heart and soul of the Constitution is based on enlightened electorate, congress, supreme court, and executive leaders fulfilling their Constitutional responsibilities. Unfortunately, the dark and divisive nature of humans prevailed and lingering primitive tribal instincts overcame the requirement to meet Constitution responsibilities. Now, national and global challenges have peaked, and all citizens, states, and branches of the United States government are engaged in and addicted to destructive partisan politics that divide the nation and render it financially unstable.

Citizens, it's time for an intervention. We must pick enlightened statesman that can unite the nation, enlighten the electorate, and lead a return to a constitutional republic form of government and related principles. A beginning requires an electorate that is knowledgeable of the Constitution, The Federalist Papers, and a book, National Center for Constitutions Studies, forty years in the making, called, The Making of America-The Substance and Meaning of the Constitution by W. Cleon Skousen. This book, written to be easy to read, uses the Constitution to guide you through the years that led to the ratification of the Constitution. Every citizen, at a minimum, should be grounded in the knowledge provided in these three books. This knowledge will give you purpose, direction, and understanding of your role in the pursuit of freedom, prosperity, and peace. You will become the rock that can support the opportunity to assure the future welfare of your nation, your state, and your family.

Why Enlightenment is Important:

Global peace is our goal and meeting this goal is our bridge to the future. Attaining global peace requires world citizens to reach a level of maturity that allows accepting responsibility for themselves and their nation.

Clinton Rossiter wrote, there is “no happiness without liberty, no liberty without self-government, no self-government without constitutionalism, no constitutionalism without morality-and none of these great goods without stability and order.”

Why should we strive to become enlightened? We have lived in conflict and chaos so long it is our chosen way of life. I see no need for world citizens to seek enlightenment just because people say it is the thing to do. But, if you’re caught up in something that brightens your day or gives you purpose and direction this may be the gig for you. Most people today are consumed by the latest technology, health, and media fads. Life is short and living for the moment is what most people aspire to. The knowledge, experience, and principles of founding fathers, of all nations, are cast aside in modern day search for power, influence, and wealth. Attaining and participating in the latest status symbols and media events is an every day priority. The enlightenment of future generations is critical to their future and we are failing to meet that challenge. As we reach our elder years and grasp the futility of wasted lives we face the consequences of our actions. We must live with the knowledge that we passed on massive fiscal debt, unresolved critical issues, and dysfunctional governments to our children. And so the world goes. The malaise of this generation is such that any sense of responsibility for basic human needs, life, and the environment barely exists. Thanks for those few enlightened citizens that spend their lives striving to achieve a better world for all citizens. These few demonstrate what all should emulate.

Citizens realize they need enlightenment and act to become enlightened so they can participate in shaping a positive future for themselves and their children.

Citizens have a literate and literal understanding of their Constitution and its principles.

Citizens recognize, accept, and fulfill their responsibilities under the Constitution.

Citizens accept responsibility for holding their elected officials accountable to the Constitution and its checks and balances.

Citizens participate in developing educational curriculum that guarantee their children receive an education that makes them knowledgeable of their Founding Fathers, the Constitution, and its related principles.

Citizens instruct political parties at local, state, and national levels to meet in a common setting, time, and address issues and legislation based on critical and priority in a responsible way. When citizens recognize they now live in a fragile global world where remote changes effects all world citizens and require the attention and liaison of all governor, state, and national leaders. Citizens take responsibility for their children safety, health, and education and stand as guardians between children interest and the special interests of government, religious institutions, and corporations. Threats to children include all interests that live to prey on youth. The animal kingdom provides more protection and care for their young then our decadent society.

Major nations have adopted and are following constitutional republic forms of government with checks and balances that shield their citizens from conflict and chaos.

Nations work together to address social and environmental challenges.

World citizens unify around spiritual beliefs and principals that show respect for the mystery of creation, planet earth, and an environment that supports life.

Mothers and fathers provide quality love, support, and protection of their children equivalent to that which animals dedicate to their offspring.

The following books, in order of priority, are recommended for citizens seeking enlightenment for themselves, their children, and friends. Mothers and fathers can enlighten their children with the appropriate knowledge necessary to joyously compete, survive, and prosper in a global technological world:

What Extremist Fear Most-My View:

Lately, it seems that extremist rule the world. That's not true. The masses of ordinary people rule and shape the world when living conditions become unbearable. When this happens extremist leaders fear for their lives. Panic maximizes their extremism. ISIS/ISIL-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant is one example. Their extremism is demonstrated by how willing they are to sever the heads of innocent journalists and anyone that stands in their way. There is a saying, source unknown, that hurt people hurt people. Think about that. Limiting extremism has to be world societies highest priority--if we expect to build a healthy world civilization.  History tells us that the human specie is an unnatural beast whose behavior ranges between extreme highs and lows. All  world nations have their share of extremist. This fact led the Founding Fathers, of thirteen North American colonies, to create a Constitution that limits, if followed, the harm driven by the extreme dark side of human nature..

An extremist movement begins when a sect --political party--religious organization--rogue nation--terrorist group--chooses uncompromising policies outside the mainstream of society. Humans are natural followers and extremely susceptible to strong extremist movements. Extremist intrude and demand an increasingly large part of our everyday life. The first thing to realize about extremist is--that they make all the rules. The second thing is--that extremist don't have to follow their own rules. The third thing is--that followers  of extremist must obey extremist rules. The forth thing is--that the United States Constitution loses it's relevance in an extremist world. The fifth thing is--that extremist create their own gods. The sixth thing is--that extremist gods also create demands that must also be followed. One might think that advances in technology and communication would enhance citizen independence and inspire enough self-reliance to resist extremist control of their lives. Apparently not. Extremist are adept at addicting citizens to activities that defeat freedom of thought-reason-independence- and motivation. Our medical professionals recognize, at all levels of society, an alarming addiction to media- drugs-obesity-pornography-bullying-rape. You know the rest of the story.
Extremism manifests itself at all levels of society. All societies use degrees of extremism to achieve economic growth, wealth, spirituality, and power.  It's in the human DNA. We all own it. If we sincerely believe in freedom-principles-peace-and goodwill for all world citizens we must dedicate ourselves to a form of government that limits the harm inflicted by extremely dark behavior.
United States Christian and secular leaders and citizens are familiar with our past and present extremist agendas. Our treatment of American Indians--blacks--Hispanics--environment--Gays, and women's rights has been and still is a form of extremism. Our basic responsibility for our children's welfare and the environment is sacrificed by our extreme self-gratification and the spectacle of partisan political party lust for power, corporate wealth, and re-election. Citizen disgust with government leaders is at an alltime low.
Preparing Future Generations:

First Goal:The evolution of human and natural resources, over time, evolved all the innate principles, economic philosophy, and constitutional republic forms of government necessary to form a world civilization that meets all human expectations. What's lacking is world citizens desire, enlightenment, and willingness to hold themselves and their governments accountable for the common welfare. A fledgling United States emerged and created a Constitution that, if followed, opened an opportunity to provide for the common welfare of all world citizens. Unfortunately--early on citizens and leaders found they lacked the desire, enlightenment, and willingness to hold themselves accountable to their Constitution, principles, and God. There were decades in which the United States had little to no challenges to it's superpower status. United States leadership became subservient to partisan political parties and continues to disintegrate. Today, United States superpower status is challenged within and without by China, Iran, Russia, and world terrorist that no longer esteem an obviously dysfunctional United States. Now, this generation of United States leaders must recognize and accept the reality that partisan political party politics has destroyed the self-respect of it's leaders and citizens. National and international confidence in United States leadership grows less day by day. Our generation is responsible for our State of the Union. Therefore, hope for the future relies on our ability to leave this generations baggage behind and prepare United States youth to build a functional United States government.

Today's youth are recognizing they are challenged to build a future that allows them to live their lives and raise them children in a secure and peaceful environment based on a functional constitutional republic form of government that, if followed, provides the checks and balances necessary to assure their freedom, prosperity, and peace. Now, our dysfunctional generation must leave our baggage behind, use lessons learned, and assume responsibility for training and preparing our youth to lead a functional and efficient United States government. To accomplish this we must instill the desire, enlightenment, and willingness necessary for them to succeed and prepare future generations to succeed. Only then can the united States be that beacon of light and hope that inspires all other nations seeking peace, prosperity, and freedom.

This goal requires correcting the following:

Is the United States claim to being a nation dedicated to the Constitution and related principles valid? First, the State of the Union refutes that. Second, citizens ten to fifteen percent approval rate of state and national leaders refutes that. Third, citizens ignorance of their Constitution, Federalist Papers, and branches of government refutes that. Forth, epic corruption, drugs, health, and lack of national principles refutes that. Fifth, Lack of respect and responsibility for environmental hazards to our children refute that. Sixth, congressional sloth and failure to govern refutes that. Therefore, The future welfare of citizens and children require a funding program designed to prepare United States youth to leave this generations baggage behind and return this nation to a functional status. The following is required of leaders, citizens, and youth: First, American youth must be trained and certified as guardians of the Constitution and accountable for the common welfare of the nation. Second, new American youth education programs must be designed to maximize enlightenment, match or exceed international technical and debating skills, and prepare them to lead the United States and the youth of future nations into a free and productive future. Third, learn and understand partisan political party mistakes and their baggage that makes our nation dysfunctional. A functional Congress requires representatives free to make their own decisions based first on the nations welfare and second on their states needs.

Second Goal: All nations, preparing for the future, must realize that a positive outcome requires an international commitment to the common welfare of all world citizens. No single nation can succeed alone. This world's generation is morally responsible for preparing future generations to build a world community dedicated to the common welfare of all world citizens. Our world generation is beginning to recognize that blind acceptance and addiction to despotic governments, corrupt partisan political parties, and endless religious institutions, each claiming to speak for a God, does not provide for the common welfare. The youth of all nations recognize that this world generation carries baggage that must be left behind. Youth recognizes, demands, and seeks a vision that allows them to live their lives in peace and harmony with the environment. Now, this world generation must set it's baggage aside and establish an environment that enables world youth to pursue their vision of a world society dedicated to the common welfare. This requires current world and religious leaders to acknowledge existing baggage and use the knowledge and wisdom of our nations founding fathers to team with world youth to establish a future that allows all people to live peaceful and productive lives in harmony with the planets environment. This, is the time for redemption and a new world order. We need to suck it up and team with our world youth to build a future they can be proud to leave to future generations.

Extremism between races-cultures-religions-politics--sects-species drives fear and anxiety--this is the baggage that prevents meeting human expectations. God versus science-Homo sapient versus creation-good versus evil-hate versus love-enlightenment versus ignorance-hope versus despair-fiery furnace versus heaven-and on and on. Extremism not contained drives the State of Humanity. Hopefully, what citizens refuse to do for God--country--freedom--and peace they may some day do for their children. The high priority question is whether or not humans can limit their extremism through constitutional republic forms of government designed with checks and balances that prevent extremism. This goal requires answering the following:
Is the international community dedicated to strengthening the United Nations and delegating  the power and military might necessary to halt extreme behavior by any terrorists, nation, or group of nations that threaten the rule of international law? Are world citizens willing to hold themselves and international leaders accountable for compliance to international law? If not where do we go from here? These are questions and challenges human societies must make.

The United States State of the Union

The State of the Union demonstrates the behavior of United States leaders and citizens. The common welfare of all friendly nations is served by a strong State of the Union. A weak State of the Union invites aggression from unfriendly nations and all terrorist organizations.Today, the State of the Union is threatened, from within, by divisiveness, self-doubt, and failure to recognize, acknowledge, and resolve longstanding national and world social and environmental challenges. These weaknesses foreshadow the future of a United States that still is a beacon of hope for world nations.

The Constitution inspired thirteen colonies to end their bondage to kings and become the first free people on planet earth. This magnificent document opened  the door for all world citizens seeking freedom. It empowered United States citizens to elect and dismiss leaders when necessary. Today, citizens yield their Constitution empowerment to partisan political parties--even as they give both parties a failing grade.

A Process for United States and World Citizen Empowerment:

World challenges threaten the welfare and security of all nations.  Our divided and dysfunctional partisan political parties demonstrate weaknesses that aid and abet unfriendly nations and specific terrorists organizations(ISIS/ISIL-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant). How long will United States Citizens remain addicted to partisan political parties--whose only goal is absolute control of each and every member of the Senate and House of Representatives. We have seen this level of addiction increase exponentially over time. Today, United States leaders and citizens are realizing that the Constitution demands more responsibility and accountability then citizens are willing to accept. The Founding Fathers suggested that would be the case. Now we are confirming it. Thankfully, there are responsible citizens who step forward and fight for a stronger State of the Union--these few strive to meet the Founding Fathers expectations for independent, free, peaceful, and prosperous citizens. Unfortunately, there are are't enough. Today, we face elections that demonstrate, for the world to see, the true State of the Union. We do this at a time when the United States should be demonstrating national unity, resolve, and solutions to critical challenges. Instead, our electorate holds our government in contempt and gives political leaders failing grades for their leadership.

The United States has a desperate need for an awakening that motivates planning, preparedness, and a return to constitutional law. It should not take terrorist strikes, within the United States, to inspire citizens to motivate their leaders to jointly create and implement a mission statement that positions the United States to be a model that all other nations would desire to follow. The following action is required: First, the United States must set aside decades of addiction to partisan political parties. Second, The United States must demonstrate, by behavior, a commitment to constitutional law instead of partisan political party law. Third, elected leaders must cease their, dysfunctional childish behavior and demonstrate what serious leadership can accomplish. Forth, citizens must be knowledgeable of their Constitution. Any librarian will happily direct you to the Constitution and essential documents such as The Federalist, (Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Jay}, and The Making of the America, by W.Cleon Skousen. Mission success requires It. Fifth, it's unconscionable to send our armed forces into harms way, as we usually do, while self-serving  partisan political party leaders disregard what they are elected to do. Sixth, citizens must gain the courage to be accountable for themselves, their Constitution, and the common welfare of all citizen and nations. Isn't this what we stand for?

Preparing Future Generations:

First Goal:

The evolution of human and natural resouces, over time, evolved all the innate principles, economic philosophy, and constitutional republic forms of government necessary to form a world civilization that meets all human expectations. National and international confidence in United States leadership grows less day by day. To accomplish this we must instill the desire, enlightenment, and willingness necessary for them to succeed and prepare future generations to succeed. Expectations, Constitution, Commitment:

The Bible, Constitution, and Federalist Papers are documents citizens and leaders wants to have read, comprehended, and committed to, while in reality, few wants to read, comprehend, or commit to. Citizens, religious and elected government leaders expectations are extremely high, while commitment to the Bible, Constitution, and related principles are critically low. High expectations without commitment defines our current State of the Union.

Given the State of the Union and the World we can surely agree that enlightenment occurs when we become independent, committed, and willing to actively use reason, imagination, and observation to gain insight, experience, and accountability for our behavior. Bible principles were incorporated in the Constitution. The Constitution grants rights, defines responsibilities, and holds citizens accountable for enforcing them.

Those that advocate adherence to the checks and balances, principles, and requirements of these documents are shunned by partisan political parties. Partisan political parties fabricate false information and use all forms of media to rally their base to act witlessly on issues that have little or no meaning for the common welfare. Meaningless distractions and low priority issues are used to avoid addressing high priority challenges that are critical to the future of the nation. All citizens and leaders now realize they are caught in the grip of primitive tribal instincts that have always lead to the downfall of societies, nations, and civilizations.

Wanting humans working together for the common welfare may be expecting more than the human specie is capable of delivering. Perhaps, sometime in the distant future human enlightenment may reach a level that will allow the Bible, Constitution, and Federalist Papers to serve the common welfare. Until then we must make an effort to achieve a level of enlightenment and commitment that allows support for constitutions, checks and balances, and principles dedicated to the common welfare of all citizens.

Following the signing and ratification of the Constitution, elected leaders realized that citizens were't qualified, or interested, in participating in the governing process. Governing grew increasingly complex. The formation of political parties empowered each to use intimidation to control when and how, with rare exceptions, each congressman and senator would vote. Power and control of government passed from citizens and their elected leaders to partisan political parties. Partisan politics drove each party to avoid contact and meet separately, at different times and locations, to define the strategy required to empower themselves. This divide between partisan political parties drives political splits at all levels of society: First, splits began within families, counties, and states. Second, splits between political parties. Third, splits within each political party, Forth, splits between and within religious institutions.

World nations, dependent on a functional and responsible United States, are stunned and fearful as they watch the most powerful nation in the world becoming divided, dysfunctional, and fiscally challenged. The United States struggles to govern itself and remain relevant as a world leader capable of leading all nations to face global social and environmental challenges.

The United States and all other world citizens are struggling to build a civilization that meets all our expectations. All are seeking enlightenment and the ascent of civilization. We have our problems.
We humans are a singularity of evolution-evolved from a mysterious infinite energy field beyond all categories of human thought.  Beyond the mystery of this infinite energy field, we call home, is the Creator of our dreams. Continuous evolution enhanced our ability to reason, imagine, and create-seeking structure we classify all life forms. We identify ourselves as Homo sapient-a specie that enately knows no boundaries and is capable of extreme highs and lows. We are also capable of self-destruction-our scientist, understanding the state of our environment, live with that fear. Yet few leaders or citizens are listening and heeding scientist warnings. The time span of life on planet earth is a function of many variables-including the life of the sun-mega meteors-an environment that may no longer support life-and unknown threats. The goal is to avoid human and environmental extremes and live in a way that resonates with one another and the environment-we have failed to meet these challenges and lack the wisdom and the will to try. Further enlightenment is required. The purpose of this document is to convince world citizens to work together to meet world challenges.

PATHS TO the Creation-Differing concepts of creation has and continues to drive the conflict and chaos that plagues humankind. This curse will only ease if and when enlightenment progresses-that requires humans living in harmony with nature and one another. As primitive Homo sapient emerged they experienced an AHA moment and recognized mortality-this moment raised many innate questions. The emergence of Homo sapient brought an innate need to understand it's origin and purpose for being. Each remote primitive tribe created variety of gods to satisfy that need. As tribes merged the role of creation advanced and consolidated. Over time, isolated tribes became villages-cities-and nations. Extremist leaders advanced the concept that a God created all matter-all life,-all humans-and granted eternal life in a celestial heaven for those who accepted his will-worshiped-praised-and followed his and his prophets commandments. Not all humans believe or follow extremist commandments-Many choose to accept the idea that the origin of the universe and life remains a mysterious unknown.

Evolution versus Creation beliefs continue to take differing shapes. Many paths to Creation are taken-Here are a few: First, many innately recognize the presence of a Creator through the nature that surrounds them-they find that fulfilling. Second, many require a more tangible presence of the Creator-therefore they create visual icons to represent the Creator. Third, many required temples, rituals, and sacrifices to please and assaage a possibly needy and angry Creator. Forth, next came a need for biblical text-written by humans and many believe dictated by the Creator. Fifth, apparently religious leaders assume a needy Creator requires continuous adoration and worship-therefore temples must be built and filled with worshipers that speak, pray, and sing his praises-this  priority takes place even though children, living in deprivation, die from starvation and a poluted environment. All cultures-races-religions-and nations use variations of these paths to satisfy their personal desires. However, all these paths are subject to change-religious leaders dictate changes, as politics and science advances, in order to remain relevant. Human history is clear-enlightenment drives science. As science advances-world public opinion drives government, corporations, and religious institutions to adapt in order to remain relevant. This is a fact that challenges all national leaders. It is a slow torturous process.

There is a better way to live: I refuse to believe that a Creator would be offended if humans bypassed all differences, driven by disputes over creation and evolution, and bonded together to provide for the common welfare and the health of the environment. I believe this would meet all Creator and human expectations. Is this impossible? If so, we are driven to accept the fact that the evolution of the specie Homo sapient was a freakish act of nature-that should never have happened. Now, we must move on to more positive ideas of how to provide for the common welfare.

British Immigrants to the United States founded thirteen colonies-that became independent-revolted-and declared their independence. Colony Founding Fathers, wise in world affairs, drafted the most advanced constitutional republic form of government the world had ever known.

New article-Paths leading to Extremes:

Extremism drives conflict and chaos at every level of human society.kind. The question is, can humans follow a constitutional republic form of government, designed with checks and balances, that limit extremism(?). The United States was built on the faulty assumption we had one. Today, we know better. Today, the United States is locked in a power struggle with extremist: Creation versus science, liberals versus conservatives, and the Constitution versus partisan political parties that are allowed to circumvent the Constitution. We also face world-wide extremism between races, cultures, religions, and national agendas that threaten all nations. All this is compounded by human disregard for a life sustaining environment. National and world leadership face the challenge of leading national populations that are unprepared to lead or follow. This fact guarrantees the extremes we are experiencing now.

The international community isn't prepared to establish, support, or delegate the power, military might, and funding of a United Nations designed to halt extreme behavior of terrorists, nations, or group of nations that threaten the rule of international l

Adapting to Our Environment:

Evolution of the Universe:

Out of a mysterious All Encompassing Energy Field came a Big Bang that unleashed an extreme explosion of energy that evolved our universe. The origin of this mysterious energy field remains unknown. Early tribes created Gods, as icons, to represent that mysterious energy. That trend continues to this day. Violent universal energy extremes led to the formation of our planet. These violent environmental extremes continue to alter the inner and outer surfaces of planet earth. Even today, tectonic plates on the planets surface are shifting and driving extreme environmental events. Space debris striking our planets surface delivered minerals that allowed the formation of basic life forms. As basic life forms evolved, evolution formed a new specie of animal. Scientists labeled this animal Homo sapient-we refer to ourselves as humans. Human advances in science inform us that all life is a fleeting moment in the life of our planet. We have come to realize that life and our planet is a fleeting moment in the history of our universe. Science informs us that universe(s) exist as a function of an energy field beyond our ability to imagine. Scientists continue to seek answers that explain the origin of this mysterious energy field that drives our universe. Meanwhile, we humans continue to seek a degree of enlightenment that minimizes the dark side and emphasizes the positive side of our nature.

The development of the Internet was a giant leap for humankind. Today, the Internet has brought citizens of all nations into a common living room. No longer can world citizens dodge the fact that every manner of deprivation, injustice, and conflict exists in every corner of the world. This fact is a wakeup call that should inspire and motivate responsible world citizens to provide programs that prepare those in need to provide for themselves. For decades the United States has portrayed itself as a Constitution based Christian nation dedicated to freedom, prosperity, and peace. Tens of thousands of America's best youth have been and are still being sacrificed by national leaders, as citizens standby, to prove that point. Today, illrelevant United States citizens prostate themselves before national leaders that blatantly refuse to address critical challenges that have and are still undermining the welfare of the nation and all nations. Too few organizations and enlightened citizens are striving to establish a rule of law that serves the common welfare of all humankind. The United States economy and military might remains unsurpassed in the history of the world. But, fault lines are emerging rapidly as evident by: First, self indulgent society. Second, poor choice of leadership. Third, massive debt. Forth, gradual disintegration of religious institutions and principles. Fifth, advancing technology that distances society from it's natural relationship with the environment-from which we came.

Merging Science and God:

Fortunately, the human race can adapt to it's environment and throw off the baggage of cultural, racial, and religious differences that have driven endless conflict and chaos. The human race can then adapt a form of government that limits extreme behavior and rewards posistive behavior. This requires: First, a majority of nations dedicated to a constitutional republic form of government that limits the dark side of human behavior. Second, choosing whether to follow a path of science, based on fact, or a path of God, that refutes science. Third, merge belief in science with belief that an unknown power, beyond human knowledge and description, controls this mysterious field of energy that surrounds us. This path frees world citizens from multi gods that require differing doctrines, temples, and rituals. World citizens can then take human and material resources, wasted on conflict and chaos, and use those resources to salvage the planets environment, becoming in harmony with nature, and concentrating on being caretakers of fellow human beings. Then perhaps, we can live orderly lives with dignity, pride, and respect for  ourselves and fellow human beings. In this manner we meet all human and spiritual expectations.

Adapting to the Environment:

Scientist tell us that our environment is a function of universal forces beyond our control. They also tell us that human advances in technology are introducing toxins into the environment and these toxins may disallow life on our planet. This knowledge allows us to take preventive measures.

Every specie on planet earth naturally adapts to it's environment- in order to survive. Humans are an exception. Humans strive to avoid uncomfortable environmental extremes by modifying the environment around them.

Living in Harmony with the Environment and Fellow Humans:

All nations face environmental and social challenges that threaten the very existence of life on earth. The United States may be the only nation that can challenge and lead all other nations to meet these challenges. Before that can happen the United States must first put it's own house in order and demonstrate to other nations how freedom, prosperity, and peace can be accomplished.

Preserving the Environment:

All nations face environmental and social challenges that threaten the very existence of life on earth. The United States may be the only nation that can challenge and lead all other nations to meet these challenges. Before that can happen the United States must first put it's own house in order and demonstrate to other nations how freedom, prosperity, and peace can be accomplished. But, first we must orient ourselves to  our environment. Lets start with the origin of the Big Bang: The evolution of our universe began when, out of a mysterious energy field, a Big Bang unleashed an extreme explosion of energy. Space debris from the Big Bang, striking our planets surface delivered the minerals necessary to create basic life forms on planet earth. The origin of this mysterious energy field remains unknown. Violent environmental extremes continue to alter the inner and outer surfaces of planet earth. Even today, tectonic plates on our planets surface are shifting and driving extreme environmental events. Violent universal energy extremes threaten the destruction of our planet. These violent environmental extremes continue to alter the inner and outer surfaces of planet earth. Recording the movement of meteors and space debris is being monitored as we speak.

As basic life forms evolved, evolution formed a new specie of animal. Scientists labeled this animal Homo sapient-we refer to ourselves as humans.

Human advances in science inform us that all life is but a fleeting moment in the life of our planet. We have come to realize that life and our planet is a fleeting moment in in the life of our sun. Scientists inform us that we exist as a function of an energy field beyond our ability to imagine. Scientists continue to seek answers that explain the origin of this mysterious energy field. Meanwhile, we humans continue to seek a degree of enlightenment that minimizes the dark side and emphasizes the positive side of our nature.

All nations are struggling to deal with radical religions that seek to divide and control all races, cultures, and sects of all nations.

Unfortunately, for the time being we citizens of the planet must be realistic about our present lives and plans for the future.  First, we must recognize that masses of national citizens lack an environment that allows them to control their daily lives and plan their future.  Second, we must remain aware of our capacity for extreme good and bad behavior. Third, we must use science to establish environmental boundaries that if violated degrades our quality of life and may disallow life itself. Life is a side effect of the mysterious field of energy  we live in. Science tells us we barely exist within the fluctuating boundaries of this energy field. There is very little room for error. Forth, the human dream and expectation for immortal life is understandable. We all share it. However, science has taken society so far into the future that mortality is becoming accepted as a reality. Religious institutions are realizing this and modifying doctrine, rituals, and views in order to remain relevant in society. Fifth, world society most cease dependence on imaginary gods and extremist leaders.

States are secular organizations (especially because of the combined effect of the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution) while some private universities are connected with the Christian or Jewishreligions. Among many of these, some prominent examples are Baylor UniversityBrigham Young UniversityBoston CollegeEmory University, the University of Notre DameDuquesne UniversityTexas Christian UniversitySouthern Methodist UniversityWheaton College and Yeshiva College. The public university systems of the United KingdomAustraliaNew ZealandCanadaIndia, andJapan are also secular, although some government-funded primary and secondary schools may be religiously aligned in some countries.

Secular and secularity derive from the Latin word saecularis meaning "of a generation, belonging to an age". The Christian doctrine that God exists outside time led medieval Western culture to use secular to indicate separation from specifically religious affairs and involvement in temporal ones.

This does not necessarily imply hostility to God or religion, though some use the term this way (see "secularism", below); Martin Luther used to speak of "secular work" as a vocation from God for most Christians[citation needed] secularity is best understood, not as being "anti-religious", but as being "religiously neutral" since many activities in religious bodies are secular themselves and most versions of secularity do not lead to irreligiosity.[2]

Secularism is an assertion or belief that religious issues should not be the basis ofpolitics, and it is a movement that promotes those ideas (or an ideology) which hold that religion has no place in public life. French frequently uses Laïcité as an equivalent idiom for "Sécularisme"Secularist organizations are distinguished from merely secular ones by their political advocacy of such positions

And the reason that non-secular weddings usually can't be held in such places, and officiated over by such persons, is because of the so-called "separation of church and state" provision of the First Amendment to the Consitution of the United States of America (USA). Pursuant thereto, weddings (and most other ceremonies, as well) which take place in or on government property, presided over by government officials acting in such capacity, must not have anything to do with religion. Instead, they must be "civil" or non-religious (secular) ceremonies.

Stephen Hawking says he's an atheist, arguing that science offers a "more convincing explanation" for the origins of the universe and that the miracles of religion "aren't compatible" with scientific fact.

"Before we understood science, it was natural to believe that God created the universe, but now science offers a more convincing explanation," the celebrated physicist said in a video posted by Spanish newspaper El Mundo. "What I meant by 'we would know the mind of God' is we would know everything that God would know if there was a God, but there isn't. I'm an atheist."

Hawking's remarks came in response to a question from El Mundo journalist Pablo Jauregui, who quizzed Hawking about his religious leanings in the lead-up to this week's Starmus Festival in the Canary Islands. The "mind of God" reference was Hawking's effort to clarify a passage in his 1988 book "A Brief History of Time," in which he wrote that scientists would "know the mind of God" if a unifying set of scientific principles known colloquially as the theory of everything were discovered.

As NBC News reported, this isn't the first time Hawking has spoken about his religious beliefs.

In 2011, he told The Guardian that he didn't believe in a heaven or an afterlife, calling it "a fairy story for people afraid of the dark." In 2007, he told the BBC that he was "not religious in the normal sense," adding, "I believe the universe is governed by the laws of science. The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws."
